These hyper-realistic paintings are an escapade one can take home or hang on the walls of old-world taverns, spa resorts, and five-star hotels. Flavorable Outlook is one such piece, a watercolor interpretation of Californias Mayacamas Mountain Range which majestically rises between the Napa and Sonoma counties. Christensen renders the late afternoon mist in striking detail, making it a perfect backdrop for a picnic table where the valleys bounty awaits. A bottle of chardonnay has been uncorked and poured into a long-stemmed wine glass. Pears and green grapes sit contentedly in a wooden bowl while a loaf of freshly baked bread takes its rightful place on a wooden board.
