Developed by Opus Art Supplies founder David Van Berckel in collaboration with a small artisan palette knife maker in Italy, each knife offers an exceptional balance of flexibility, strength, spring, and snap-back.
The carbon-steel blades feature a smooth, shiny chrome finish that allows wet acrylic and oil paint to be wiped away more thoroughly and makes the knives easier to clean between colours and after use. Flexible yet sturdy, they are well suited to heavy-body acrylics, oil colours, and a wide range of painting techniques.
Each knife is finished with a warm-toned olive wood handle that feels smooth, comfortable, and well balanced in the hand. Available in sixteen blade shapes and sizes, the collection offers versatile options for mixing, spreading, shaping, and applying paint.
